She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Nelms and Thetus Brooks Nelms; and her siblings, Dennis Nelms, Gavene Collins and Sharlene Nelms.
She is survived by: her husband Ned Long; her sons, Bart West of Robbinsville, NC and Forrest Long of Hayesville, NC; and her siblings, Darrell Nelms (Mary) of Robbinsville, NC and Patsy Nelms (Bob Lyerly) of Bradenton, FL.. She is also survived by one grandson.
