He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy Odom Sellers; and his sisters, Sandra "Cookie" Stewart and Donna Elaine Sellers. He is survived by: his father Edward Sellers; his son Rex Allen; his daughter-in-law Holli Sellers of Robbinsville, NC; his daughter Amy Sellers of Robbinsville, NC; his brothers, Dwayne Sellers of Robbinsville, NC and Louie Sellers of Robbinsville, NC; his grandson Nolan Sellers; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brittany, Brandi, Maggie, Millie, Josh, Benton and Hagen. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews.
