With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nellie Day (Robbinsville, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 27, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jess Lee and Zennie Southard Lee; her daughters, Peggy Ann Day and Benalee Brooks; and her grandchildren, Jamie Brooks and Renee Roper.
She is survived by: her son Calvin (Linda Day); her grandsons, John and Craig Day; her daughter Linda; her son-in-law Eugene Hooper; her grandchildren, Travis (Connie), Brody, Lynn Hooper and Maria Shook (Bryan); her son Ronnie (Cindy Day); and her grandsons, Randy (Starla), Dustin Day and Jeff Brooks (Marie).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Townson-Smith Chapel (160 5 Point Rd, Robbinsville, NC 28771). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
