She is survived by: her children, Amy Collins, Kenny Phillips, Rachel "DeeDee" Phillips (Jerry), Mitch Phillips (Phyllis) of Robbinsville, NC and Meshell Queen Phillips of Robbinsville, NC; her brothers, Claude Carpenter and Ozell Carpenter; her uncles, Bud Carpenter and Jack Carpenter (Mary Lou); and her grandchildren, Kristy Phillips, Jasmine Picon, Jake Phillips, Kayla Adams, Kasondra Lovelace and Lance Collins. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren with one on the way; and two great-great granddaughters; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
