It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Joyce Jenkins (Robbinsville, North Carolina), who passed away at the age of 89, on August 19, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde A. Crisp and Ruth Marie Jenkins Crisp (Wallace); her sisters, Billie June (J. W. Edwards) and Kelda (Bill Moore); and also, Kathy Rogers, Cindy Harwood, Tommy Walker and Roger Jenkins.
She is survived by: her children, David (Ellen) of Huntsville, AL, Margaret Burrell of Clinton, TN and Vicki Galyean (Donald) of Clemmons, NC; her grandchildren, Neal Jenkins (Michelle), Steven Jenkins (Amanda), James Jenkins, Keith Galyean (Austina), Drew Burrell (Laura), Elizabeth Burrell (Christopher), John and Brett Burrell; her great grandchildren, Kate, Andrew, Connor, Catherine, Maggie and Lora; her sister-in-law Bett Cantrell; her aunt Lynda Holder; and also, Margaret Taylor, Nina Johnston, Rick, Phyllis McCracken and Dot Savage. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Due to the risk of exposure to COVID, face coverings and social distancing are required at both the visitation and the funeral service.
Joyce loved her yard and flowers but would also be happy to know that others remembered her through a donation to the Gideon's, Stecoah Valley Center or American Cancer Society/Relay for Life.
