She was predeceased by: her father George Kent Sheffey; and her brother L. Kent Sheffey of Robbinsville, NC.. She is survived by: her mother Ethel Beryl Hensley Sheffey; her husband Dwayne Paul Cable of Robbinsville, N. C.; her children, J. Brett Cable of Morehead, KY, Austin B. Cable of Marble, NC and Chandra A. Cable of Robbinsville, N. C.; her grandchild Alaina A. Cable of Waynesville, N. C; her siblings, Pamela Sheffey (Travis Eller) of Robbinsville, N. C. and Kevin B. Sheffey of Robbinsville, N. C.; her grandson Lucas Dean Cable; and her great-grandparent Austin Cable. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
