Dave left this world on February 1, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vasco Stewart and Norma Waldroup Stewart; his wife Emma Jean James Stewart; his grandson Bartley Crisp; his sons, Mike Colvard and Mitch Colvard; and his brother Wade Stewart.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa (Larry Crisp) and Connie Daley of Grants Pass, OR; his siblings, Junior Stewart of Lakeland, FL, Louise Housholder of Robbinsville, NC, Bonell Kelley of Friendsville, TN and Linda Orr; and his grandchildren, Tosha Covlard, Michelle Holden, Richard Daley, Nathan Daley, Terrance Daley and Cameron Daley. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Townson-Smith Chapel (160 5 Point Rd, Robbinsville, NC 28771). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Carver Cemetery (1694 Santeetlah Rd, Robbinsville, NC 28771).
