She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Phillips and Minnie Phillips; her husband Rev. Hubert Tipton; her daughter Marsha Tipton; her sister Burdell Crisp; her nephew Darrell Millsaps; and her great-nephew Dwayne Millsaps.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joy Stewart (Daniel) of Robbinsville, NC and Tammy Phillips of Robbinsville, NC; her siblings, Velma Bowers, Gertrude Millsaps, Jane Ledbetter and Harold Phillips (Lisa) of Robbinsville, NC.; her grandchildren, Aaron Stewart (Amanda), Kristyn Stevens (Brian), Jocelyn Satterfield (Edd), Travis Rogers (Shalain) and Isaiah Phillips (Moriah); her great grandchildren, Hayley Rogers (Will), Katelyn Nelson (James), Klancy Stevens, Brinklee Rogers, Zeb Stewart, Colton Satterfield, Gage Stewart and Jenson Phillips; and her great great grandchildren, Georgia Queen of Robbinsville, NC. and Mason Rogers of Robbinsville, NC..
