He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Birchfield and Reva Dale Hooper Birchfield; and his siblings, Jim Birchfield, Tom Birchfield, Lillian Jones and Linda Fay Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Susie Williams of Robbinsville, NC and Billy L. Birchfield Jr. of Winston Salem, NC; his sister Mary Birchfield of Robbinsville, NC; and his granddaughters, Aleighsa Birchfield and Jennifer Outen. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
