He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Edna Woods; his brother Johnny Key; his wife Denise Fleming Key; his children, Mary Katrina Key, Rachel Key Lewis (Chris) of Florida, Michael Allen Key, Ashley Tompkins and Daniel Tompkins of Macclesfield; his siblings, Ronald "Toby" Key (Alice) of Robbinsville, Glenn Woods (Lisa) of Robbinsville, Michael Woods (Ellen) of Robbinsville, Wanda Sellers (Harold) of Robbinsville, Rachael Brown of Robbinsville and Donna Kays of Murphy; his grandchildren, Justin Stewart of Robbinsville, Shalynn Stewart and Kyleigh Key; and his mother Church.
