He was predeceased by: his parent Oscar Garner; and his siblings, Beulah Williams, Marie Owens, Dorothy McNeill, Odessa Greene, Bud Garner, Cecil Garner and Henry Clay Garner.
He is survived by: his parent Annie Williams Garner; his wife Janelle; his children, Robin Clark (Ricky) and Rodney Garner (Cassandra); his grandchildren, Allison, Erica Kennedy, Cole and Paige Garner; his brother Jimmie Garner; and his sister-in-law Velna Garner. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
