She is survived by: her brothers, Arthur and Lester Purvis; her friend Lois Jean Purvis; her sisters-in-law, Katherine Brady and Thelma Purvis; her daughter Vicky (Smitty Valand) of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Allison Valand Bennett (Daniel) of Wilmington and Blake Valand (Alicia) of Winnabow; and her great grandchildren, Harper and Charlotte Bennett. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
