She was predeceased by: her husband Jesse Leonard Garner; and her son Darrell Van Garner. She is survived by: her sons, Randall, Jeffrey and Matthew; her children-in-law, Lori, Kelli and Skylar; her grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter, Kayla (Josiah), Zachary, Brayden, Isaac and Landry; and her great grandchild Jayce.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kennedy Funeral Home (241 N Middleton St, Robbins, NC 27325). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Elise Presbyterian Church (200 N Middleton St, Robbins, NC 27325). A graveside service was held on Monday, October 21st 2024 at the Brown's Chapel Church (608 Browns Chapel Rd, Robbins, NC 27325).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to support Hurricane Helene victims in Western North Carolina (http://www.samaritanspurse.org.) reflecting Lucy's generous spirit and her love for others, especially children who were not her own.
