She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Ernest and Sadie Purvis Caviness; and her sons, James Russell Cain and Douglas Wesley Cain. She is survived by: her husband James Cain; her daughters, Patricia Ellen Cain of Charlotte and Teresa Ann Forrest (Barry) of Pinehurst; and her grandchildren, Stephen Cain, Walter James Cain, Genevieve Maks, Caitlin Forrest, William Forrest and Dara Forrest. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
