She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodie Dowless and Cornelia Dowless; and her brothers, Edison, Roy and Woodie Dowless, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Darrell Horner of Robbins and Pamela Knight Basa (Errol) of Chula Vista, California; her sister Barbara Wilson of Waco, Texas; her grandchildren, Ashton White, Lauren Gill, Darrell Jay Horner, Julien Basa and Erriale Basa; and her great grandchildren, Alanna Horner, Jonna White and Memphis White.
