She was predeceased by: her husband Leo Clarence Caviness; her parents, Coy Lemuel and Annie Florence Comer; and her siblings, Tracy Comer, Ted Comer, Bill Comer, Lola Upton, Edith Yow, Mittie Willamson, Mattie Needham and Ethel Kennedy.

She is survived by: her children, Windell Caviness (Pat) of Concord, Lois Cockman (Jimmy) of Robbins, Lorraine Leonard (Mitch) of Timberlake and Leo Caviness (Alice) of Bennett; her grandchildren, Joanne Stikeleather (Jerry) of Locust, Joey Caviness (Gina) of Concord, Chris Caviness (Tonya) of Concord, Scott Leonard (Julie) of Oak Island, Tabatha Allen (Roy) of Robbins, Adam Caviness (Jennifer) of Southern Pines, Jennifer Albright (Jay) of Bennett and Leighann Long (H. R.
