He was predeceased by: his parents, Racy Maness and Beulah Kennedy Maness; and his siblings, Roy Lee Maness, Lester Maness and Helen Maness Morgan.
He is survived by: his daughters, Billie Jo Puckett (Dwain) of South Carolina, Lela Matthews (Lincoln) of South Carolina and Donna Maness of South Carolina; his siblings, Hilda Maness (Gene), Lucy Ritter (Russell) and Racy Maness, Jr. (Penny); and his close friend Bob. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
