He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosco Prevette and Necil Holloway Prevette. He is survived by: his wife Doris Wiles Prevette; his children, Shelia Owens (Charles) of Lexington, Rita Beaver (Walter) of Cleveland, N. C., Ricky Prevette of North Wilkesboro and Larry Bauguess (Cindy) of Roaring River; and his sister Eilene Wiles (William Carroll) of Hays. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
