She was predeceased by: her parents, Maggie Mae Tant and Joseph Calvin Clay. She is survived by: her husband Eddie Walker; her siblings, Josephine Gregory and A. C. Tant, Sr.; her children, Burley G. Hamill, III (Laura Hamill) of Louisburg, NC, Joseph C. Hamill (Linda Hamill) of Valentines, VA and Angela H. Grey (Wayne R. Grey) of Youngsville, NC; her grandchildren, Heather Barber, Victoria Hamill, Clay Hamill, Tyler Hamill and Erica Cerow; and her great grandchildren, Lucas Barber, Jaxon Barber, Morgan Cerow and Brooke Cerow.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Good Samaritan Baptist Fellowship Church (142 S Zoo Rd, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
