Virginia Pittman Shell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 17, 2021, at the age of 95, Virginia Pittman Shell (Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Cephus and Alice Vivian Staton Pittman; her husband Raymond Shell; her sons, Walter Shell and Bill Shell; and her great grandchild Jim Bain.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tonya Mahaffey (Chuck) of Chester, VA and Gloria Bain of Dinwiddie, VA; her daughters-in-law, Patsy Shell of Roanoke Rapids and Phyllis Shell of Litchfield, IL; and her foster son Billy Newton (Shari) of Roanoke Rapids. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
