He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Troy Keeter and Lona Margaret Aycock; his sister Carolyn Carlisle; his son Coleman Keeter; and his close friend Elizabeth Wright.
He is survived by: his sister Loujean Keeter; his daughter Lisa "Buffy" Keeter; his niece Cheryl Poarch; his great-nieces, Caroline (Thomas Owen) and Harley (Kelly Barnes); and his niece Tammy Shaw (Craig Shaw).
