With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Jackson Ellis of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, born in Halifax, North Carolina, who passed away on March 17, 2021 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Charles Ellis and Pearl Lelia Malone Ellis; and his siblings, Waverly, Willie, Glenda and Ida.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles L. King (Debra) of Roanoke Rapids and Larry Ellis (Danielle) of Brevard, NC; his siblings, Charles Ellis of Tampa, Lloyd Ellis of Roanoke Rapids and Yvonne Wilhelm of Roanoke Rapids; his grandchildren, Alex Edwards (Avery), Tory Ellis (Heather Silva), Madeline Ellis, Sarah Hannah, Lyric Ellis, Stephan Bryant and Heather Bryant; and his great grandchildren, Raleigh Edwards and River Edwards.
Interment will be private at a later date in Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. Due to CDC recommendations for COVID-19, (social distancing is encouraged).
