It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Lee Cranford (Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina), born in Burlington, North Carolina, who passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Sarah Lee leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her significant other Judge Dwight L. Cranford; and her daughter-in-law Melanie Stewart Cranford. She is survived by: her children, Collins Roux (Rob Roux) and Scott Cranford; her grandchildren, Carter Roux, Sarah Catherine Wood (Joey Wood) and MacKenzie Roux; and her great grandchild Camille Wood.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Cedarwood Cemetery (1100 W 4th St, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870).
