With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rose Lovette Mills Adams of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, who passed away on October 31, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Whitby and Nettie Whitby; her daughter Brenda Rose Mills (Phil); and her brothers, Allen Whitby and Rufus Whitby.
She is survived by: her husband David Adams; her children, James W. Mills Jr. (Tammy), Michael W. Mills (Sharon), Brian E. Mills (Bobbie) and Patrica Mills Fox; her stepdaughter Crystal Adams; her siblings, Jerry Lee Whitby (Kathy) and Glenda Whitby Lloyd; her grandchildren, Kenneth, Melissa, Michael Jr., Richard, Ann, Amanda, Marc, Brandy, Rickey and Gloria; and her nieces, Pam and Tammy. She is also survived by fur babies "Squirt" and "Meme".
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service (507 US-158, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
