He was predeceased by: his wife Ethel Aleene Boone; his parents, James Andrew and Elle Marie Futrell Boone; and his brothers, Wesley Thomas and James Futrell Boone.
He is survived by: his son Robert "Bob" Boone, Jr. (Lori) of Roanoke Rapids; his grandsons, Avery and Aaron Boone of Roanoke Rapids; and his siblings, Johnny Boone, Andy Boone, Joe Boone (Janet) and Louise Thortis (Ray).
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service (116 Short St, Rich Square, NC 27869). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Rehoboth Methodist Church (1123 Rehoboth Church Rd, Jackson, NC 27845). A burial was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 3:45 PM at the Peele Vick Cemetery (Kelford, NC 27847).
