He was predeceased by: his mother Fannie Odell Knox Etheridge; his siblings, Margaret Etheridge, Annie Mae Etheridge, Mabel Marie Etheridge, Lizzie Etheridge Carroll, Jackie Ray Etheridge and Al Smith "Buck" Etheridge; and his father Samuel Worth Dunning.
He is survived by: his son Robert "Jason" Etheridge (Heather Hux Etheridge); his wife Beverly Tripp Etheridge; his daughter Leigh Dunning Etheridge; his grandchildren, Allie Elizabeth Etheridge, Jackson Cole Etheridge, Emma Claire Etheridge and Layne Grady Hux; and his sister Effie Etheridge Pearson. He is also survived by eight nieces, and five nephews.
