He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Lee Padgett and Estelle Massey Padgett. He is survived by: his children, Natalie Renee Conte of Charlotte, NC and Michael J. Padgett of Charlotte, NC; his siblings, Debra P. Francis (Tommy) of Roanoke Rapids, NC and David L. Padgett of Roanoke Rapids, NC; and his grandchildren, Ava Conte of Charlotte, NC and Radley Padgett of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
