She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Homer and Martha Elizabeth Hux; her grandson Thomas Wells; and her sister Paula Patterson. She is survived by: her husband Tommy Wells; her close friend Henry; her children, Beth Batten (Gary) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, LaDonna Wells Wade (Brad) of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Brian Wells (Leslie) of Archdale, NC; her grandchildren, Brandon Coker (Erica) of Austyn Batten, A. J, Taylor Wade, Rylie, Kylie Wade, Peanut Wade, Sofie Wade, Wesley Wells, Will Wells and Watson Wells; her great grandchild Hunter Coker; and her sisters, Becky Allen (Hubert) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Evelyn Davis of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Betty Conner (Shelton) of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Laura Elmore (Jack) of Virginia. She is also survived by special friend that was like a sister, Linda Andrews as well as several nieces and nephews.
