He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay H. Barlow and Lucy Writtenberry Barlow; his wife Norma Wall Barlowe; and his siblings, Lora B. Moore, Alta Fay B. Gibson, Catherine B. Vaughan, Clarence L. Barlow and LeRoy G. Barlowe.
He is survived by: his children, Curtis L. Barlowe (Susie) of Lynchburg, Gerald K. Barlowe (Joan) of Clinton, NC and Judy K. Barlowe of Roanoke Rapids; his sisters, Patricia B. Parrish of Gum Springs and Shirley B. Adams of Jacksonville, Fla.; and his grandchildren, Patricia Jean Barlowe of Lynchburg, Benjamin J. Barlowe (Katelynn) of Lynchburg, Brittaney Dieppa of Charleston, SC, Ashley Lane of Clayton, NC, Jordan Lane (Ashley) of Clayton, NC and Eva Barlowe of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Victory Baptist Church of Roanoke Rapids Benevolence Fund.
