She was predeceased by: her parents, James William Leake, Sr. and Molly Elizabeth Cobb Leake; her brothers, Clifton Leake and Claude Leake; and her granddaughter Katie White.
She is survived by: her children, Amy Ricks (Wayne) of Roanoke Rapids and Robert J. White (Nancy) of Easly; her brother James Leake, Jr.; her grandsons, Jason, Jay Thomas Ricks (Tonya) and Steven B. Ricks (Rachel); her great grandchildren, Topanga Smith (Lorenz), Bryson Ryder, Alyssa White, Hunter White, Michael Ricks, Gavin Ricks, D. J. Hall and Brenden Hall; and her close friends, Amelia Edwards and Virginia Wright. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
