He was predeceased by: his father Marcus Alton Garriss, Jr.; and his aunt Barbara G. Jones. He is survived by: his mother Suzanne Ogletree Garriss; his wife Michelle Garriss; his parents-in-law, Carlton Miles and Jill Miles of Roanoke Rapids; his children, Mark Jones (Atalee) of Florence, SC and Maecy Garriss of Roanoke Rapids; his sister Melissa Knight (Brent) of Roanoke Rapids; and his nephews, Jarret Williamson and Colin Clements.
