She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Bell and Margaret Bell; her husband Kyle Audrey Cox; and her brother Lee Hayden Bell Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Audrey C. Ryan; her son-in-law Thomas P. Ryan of Greenville, Alabama; her son Mark Thomas Cox; her daughter-in-law Margaret R. Cox of Cary, N. C.; her grandsons, Tommy Ryan of Birmingham, AL, Joseph Ryan (Erica) of Charleston, SC, Austin Cox of Cary, NC and Matthew Cox of Greenville, N. C.; her great grandchildren, Dozier, Vivvie, Reece and Sadie; her close friends, Gail and Tim Biesecker; and her caregiver Jeannette Smith.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wrenn Funeral Home (1015 W 5th St, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Cedarwood Cemetery (1100 W 4th St, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870).
To further honor Mae's life the family would like in lieu of flowers contributions be made to New Hope Methodist Church - Memorial Fund or Church Kitchen Ministry sent to P.O. Box 2117 Roanoke Rapids, NC.
