She was predeceased by: her parents, William Howard Moody, Sr. and Pearlie Brown Moody; her husband Joseph "Joe" McGee; her daughter Melinda "Linda" Moody; and her siblings, Betty Brown Wright, Lettie Moody and William Howard "Man" Moody, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Lean McGee of Enfield, NC; her grandsons, Lance McGee of Enfield, NC and Qua McGee (Daja); her great grandchildren, Jakima, JaBari and Kaylah; her pet Zoie; her sisters-in-law, Mavis Moody and Pearl McGee; and her nieces and nephews, Darzette M. Alston (Kevin), Louise Darden (Hamilton), Sherman Moody, Alfred K. Wright (Tamarra) and James Whitaker. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the H. D. Pope Funeral Home (520 Smith Church Rd, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Moody Family Cemetery.
