He was predeceased by: his parents, Reddick Pope and Betty Hooper Pope; his uncle Robert; and his aunt Mamie Pope Draper. He is survived by: his wife Barbara S. Pope; his daughters, Marie Pope of Rocky Mount, Brenda Pope Odom (Charlie) of Nashville, NC and Sheryll Pope Albert (Harry) of Cary, NC; his stepdaughter Jo Barber; his cousin Robert; his grandchildren, Sherrie Radloff of Missouri, Stephen Radloff (Tosha) of Bresse, IL, Matthew Radloff (Amanda) of Bresse, IL, Crystal Odom Dawes of Nashville, NC and Lindsey; his stepgrandchildren, Karagyn Barber and Brady Barber of Williamston; and his caregivers, Sheree Robinson, Mariam Jordan, Sylvia Roberson and Barbara Walker.
The family will receive friends Monday, October 17, 2022, at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Flowers or memorial gifts are accepted, in lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
