With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Sullivan Futrell Jr. (Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina), who passed away on September 23, 2021 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sullivan Futrell, Sr. and Lettie Martin Futrell; and his sister Elizabeth Futrell Rawls. He is survived by: his wife Ruth "Inez" Futrell of Woodland; his stepsons, Lawrence Scott Davis and Darrin Davis of Woodland; his brothers, Edward Wayne Futrell (Anne D. Futrell) of Murfreesboro and Robert Eugene Futrell (Paula) of Sacramento, California; his nephews, Chad Rawls (Angel) of Jackson, NC, Matthew Rawls of Virginia Beach, VA, Jeff Futrell of Williamston, NC and Aaron Futrell (Jessica) of Sacramento California; his niece Melissa F. Spence (Bobby) of Raleigh, NC; and his brother-in-law Ricky Rawls.
