Joann Catherine Dula Morris, 89, of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024 at her home. Mrs. Morris was born on October 7, 1934 in Hampton, Viginia, the daughter of the late Flonnie Mae Edwards and Thomas Jones Dula and was the widow of the late Robert Graydon Morris. She was a member of Rosemary Baptist Church.
Surviving include her son Graydon David Morris of Roanoke Rapids, her loving friend Michael G. Love of Roanoke Rapids, her sister-in-law Merle Waldron of Richmond, VA, her nieces Leigh Harris of Charlotte, NC and Marti Leighty of Richmond, VA, and her nephew Robert Gerringer of Houston, TX.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service from 7:00 – 8:30 PM and at other times at 123 Cloverleaf Drive in Roanoke Rapids. Friends may sign the online register by visiting http://www.hockadayfs.com.
A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News, VA with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.
