It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Rhea Turner of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, who passed away on March 15, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack Rhea and Hazel Brown Rhea; her husband Andrew Alton Turner; her sister Phyllis Hasty; and her son-in-law Andy Howard.
She is survived by: her children, Steven "Steve" Rhea Medlin (Jenny) of Charlotte, Lori Medlin Howard of Roanoke Rapids and Andrew "Andy" Alton Turner, Jr. (Debbie) of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Ashlie Turner Smith (Dylan), Katlin "Katie" Elizabeth Howard, Matthew "Matt" Steven Medlin (Anna) and Brian Thomas Howard (Colleen); her great grandchildren, Reid Smith and Andrew Howard; and her brothers, Bobby Rhea and Ronnie Rhea. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
