He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Furgerson Dickens and Maidie Crawley Dickens; his brother Alton Keith Dickens; and his son Dave Dickens. He is survived by: his wife Judy Wood Dickens; his niece Christy Wood Loyd (Patrick); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lizzy and Reni of Leland, NC; his nephews, Morris Dickens (Cary) of Kansas City, MO and Rene'Dickens (Toni) of Lake Gaston; his sisters-in-law, Betty Dickens and Nancy Wood; his godchildren, Wesley and Caroline Morrison; and his close friends, Charles Morrison, Charles Allen (Gus) and Tom Shell.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Askew Funeral and Cremation Services (731 Roanoke Ave, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870).
