He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy T. Edmondson and Rena Smith Edmondson; his daughter Lisa E Gordon Whitby (Buffy); and his brothers, Roy T. Edmondson, Jr., Bobby Lee Edmondson, Walter M. Edmondson (Weanie), Deward Pepper and David Henry Pepper.
He is survived by: his sisters, Dorothy Ann E. Joyner, Lucille P. Parker and Josephine P. Aguirre; his wife Vivian Keeter Edmondson; his sons, Gene Gray Edmondson, Jr. of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Mark A. Edmondson of Wilmington, NC.; his sisters, Rena Ruth E. Williams of Tennessee and Hazel E. Skipper of Florida; and his grandsons, William Holt Gordon of Wilmington, NC, Dylan G. Edmondson of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Landen P. Edmondson of Roanoke Rapids, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
