With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eulalia Ramirez Portela (Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 3, 2024 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carmen María Girón and Julio Ramírez; her husband Dr. Angel I. Portela; her stepfather Ricardo Villamil; and her siblings, Carmen R. Toro, Lourdes R. Lassus and Ricar Villamil.
She is survived by: her children, Gilbert Portela Sr. (Lilia), Sussie P. Wood, Margie P. Nelson (Ed) and Ricky Portela (Shelia); and her sisters, Annie R. Castro and Aurora V. Rodríguez. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.
