With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward Lois Clements Sr. of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, born in Halifax, North Carolina, who passed away on March 1, 2022 at the age of 70. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Walker and Pennie Mae Clements; his daughter Nina B. Hines; his siblings, Shirley Jackson and Alonzo Clements; and his brothers-in-law, Clarence Lee Jenkins and Ronnie Clements.
He is survived by: his wife Gartred Clements; his children, Latina F. Edmonds (Keith) and Edward Clements, Jr. (Spinosa); his grandchildren, Gartrell Hines, Marcus Moon, Scott Edmonds, Jr., Jaquiaze Clements, Marquiaze Clements, Shakeyra Edmonds, Andrew Clements, Asaijah Clements, Shamar Sykes, TaLiya Edmonds and Leemara Clements; his son-in-law Charles Hines; his siblings, Edith Jenkins, Lois Bowser (William), Annie Clements, Leroy Clements (Lisa), Dorothy Moon (Harold), Alphonso Clements (Rebecca) and Shirley Bell; and his siblings-in-law, Varnetta Edwards and Rubin Brown. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, friends.
Because of Covid-19, all CDC guidelines will be followed by the wearing of masks, social distancing, and limiting the number of persons in attendance.
