She is survived by: her grandson Vernon Pierce; her great grandchild Cortez Pierce; her daughters, Dorothy Hughes (Gilbert) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Noralene Pierce of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Sandra Hawkins of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her caregiver Raymond Hawkins, Jr.; her grandchildren, Lisa Robinson (Derryl) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Yulonda Pierce of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Steven Pierce of Miami, FL, Shantel Pierce, Greg Young, Jr. of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Moneeka Austin (Nick) of Baltimore, MD, Raymond Hawkins, III of Largo, MD, Bryanna Lynch and Vajaran Lynch of Roanoke Rapids, NC; and her sisters-in-law, Ophelia Brown of Silver Spring, MD, Mae Hawkins of Washington, DC, Rachel Wills of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Shirley Wills of Roanoke Rapids, NC. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a myriad of adopted children.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Piney Grove Baptist Church (1089 Piney Grove Church Rd, Littleton, NC 27850).
