With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Cynthia Turner Phipps of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 23, 2025 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ronald Quay and Elizabeth Rooker Quay; her husband William Phipps, Sr.; and her son Jarret Phipps. She is survived by: her children, Crystal Horne (Chris), Donnie Brooks (Tina) and William Phipps, Jr. (Beth); her siblings, Debbie Stephenson, Woody Turner (Teresa), Kenny Turner (Shelia) and Bo Turner (Michelle); her grandchildren, Katie (James), Taylor, Allyson, Landon, Lucas, Sadie, Maverick and Maddex; and her great grandchildren, Leo, Logan and Lily.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service (507 US-158, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cedarwood Cemetery (1100 W 4th St, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870).
