He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Carlton and Doris Draper Nethercutt; his grandparents, John, Becky Nethercutt, Andrew and Mary Draper; and his uncle A. B. Draper, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Margie Garner Nethercutt; his sons, Gary Nethercutt (Polly) of Henrico, NC and Barry Nethercutt (Dana) of Nashville, NC; his grandchildren, MacGyver Nethercutt, Jackson Nethercutt and Carolyn Nethercutt; and his brothers-in-law, Wilbur Garner and Jimmy Garner (Peggy) of Roanoke Rapids.
