She was predeceased by: her parents, McLynn Butler and Emma Butler; her husband Robert Henry Rose; her sons, Robby Smith and Dennis Smith; and her siblings, Barum Flythe, Edgar Flythe, Henry Paul Butler, Mary Britt and Nellie Lane.
She is survived by: her children, Dinah Taylor (Norman) of Roanoke Rapids and Andy Rose (Melissa Manning) of Roanoke Rapids. She is also survived by four grandsons and many great-grandchildren.
