Abernathy of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, who passed away on November 3, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jack Roughton and Ella Rebecca Woodruff; her grandfathers, Rufus and Troy Bolton; her husband Donald Ray Abernathy; her son Buck Brown; her siblings, Jack Roughton, George Woodruff, Della Ferguson and Donna Johnston; and her cousin Mary R. Snead. She was also cherished by two grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
