We are sad to announce that on May 26, 2021, at the age of 66, Barbara Ann Burgess Ivey of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Burgess, Jr. and Lucy Bowser Burgess; her brothers, James Burgess, Sr., Melvin Burgess and Larry Burgess; her nephew John Burgess; her great-niece Shakirah Lovelace; and her sisters-in-law, Elaine Bowser and Alcola Burgess.
She is survived by: her children, Reginald Ivey (Cheryl) of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Felicia Ivey of Flint, MI; her grandchildren, Johnnie Alston, Jaquarus Alston and Cherell Alston; her great grandchild Kayden Alston; her close friend Jake Hedgepeth; her siblings, Eugene Burgess (Quentina) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Thomas Burgess (Phyllis) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Queen Arrington of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Susie Harvey of Dumfries, VA; her sisters-in-law, Shirley Burgess and Leonnie Burgess; and her close friend Catherine Fields of Gaston, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Because of Covid-19, all CDC guidelines will be followed by the wearing of masks, social distancing, and limiting the number of persons in attendance.
