She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Bowen and Laddie B. Strickland; her husband Irvin Eugene Worrock, Sr.; her brother Buddy Strickland; her daughter Betty Poindexter; and her grandson Brandon Haslip.
She is survived by: her son Irvin "Popeye" Worrock (Wanda); her grandchildren, Cindy Matthews (Scott), Tammy Norris (Jeff), Melissa Worrock, Carol Griffin, Jena Lynch, Christy Williams and Sharhonda Pierce; and her great grandchildren, Crystal Heustess, Jordan Smith, Brooke Harris, Lauren Hite, Jessica Cogar, Hunter Keeter, Joseph Matthews, Joshua Matthews, Taylor Lassiter, Marshall Keeter, Marcus Moore, Sophia Lassiter and Brittney Matthews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service (507 US-158, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
