She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Ruffin Willey, Sr. and Margaret Claudell Barnes Willey; her son James R. Matthews, Jr.; and her brother Claude R. Willey, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband James R. Matthews; her daughters, Sue Shearin (Timothy), Lori Robinson (Lester), Margie Shearin Esidro (Dion) and Claudia Clayton (Joseph); her grandchildren, Shannon, Brittany, Michelle, Ryan, Jarrett and Marena; and her great grandchildren, Ethan, Isaac and Alex.
