He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Clayton Larkins and Bonnie Wooten Larkins; and his brother Clayton Larkins. He is survived by: his wife Sue Roberts Larkins; his children, Mike Larkins (Cynde) of Wilmington and Michelle Potter (Travis) of Riegelwood; his grandchildren, Aaron Larkins, Laney Larkins, Harley Potter and Landyn Potter; and his cousin Lisa Moore.
